He creates character-driven films with a sensitivity for aesthetics.
His 2023 cinematic documentary, Gary Stevenson - Life Out of Balance, is featured on Directors' Library.
Steffan is now working on a feature documentary about Japanese culture through the lens of skateboarding. The project is a recipient of funding from the Daiwa Foundation Grant scheme. Daiwa is an Anglo-Japanese foundation.
